Kathleen Horne is a visual artist, educator, workshop
facilitator, and expressive arts therapist. She is a Registered Expressive Arts Consultant/Educator, and a Licensed Mental
Health Counselor and Supervisor in Florida. She and her partners: Victoria Domenichello-Anderson, Elizabeth Bornstein, and
Tamara Teeter Knapp, are the owners of Expressive Arts Florida - Institute, Studio and Gallery, in Sarasota, FL. Kathleen
is one of the four Core Faculty of Expressive Arts Florida Institute, an intermodal Expressive Arts Training Program. She
co-founded (with Victoria Domenichello-Anderson) the Art and Healing Certificate Program at Ringling College of Art and Design,
Continuing Studies and Special Programs, and was faculty in that program for seven years. She is a member and Board
Member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA). Kathleen created and facilitates "Art as a Healing
Practice" sessions, as well as Mandala workshops, Touch Drawing classes, and Creative Self-Renewal. She is a CEU provider
for Mental Health professionals in Florida.
During the summer months, she resides
on Cortes island, British Columbia, where she is a member of Eaglewind Press and the Old Schoolhouse Gallery.
Kathleen
believes in the power of the creative process to effect change in individuals, groups and communities. She is committed to
designing and facilitating a variety of opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to tap into their inherent creativity
and make positive life changes.
Kathleen
Horne has a B.A. from the University of British Columbia, an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from University of South Florida,
and a Graduate Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
